Parents/Readers on the Web:
• Next Tuesday, Jan. 20, the AC/DC Thunder girls’ and boys’ basketball teams will travel to Corsica for a double header vs Corsica-Stickney. Game times are:
5:15 – JV girls in the main gym
5:15 - JV boys in the auxiliary gym
6:30 – Varsity girls in main gym
Varsity boys to follow in main gym
All games in the main gym will be streamed and can be found by going to https://jags.live/ The BU foundation will be serving tri-tip sandwiches and chips. Cost is free will donation. Selling starts at 5:15 until sold out. There will also be a raffle for ½ beef.
• The annual Society Meeting has been set for Monday, March 30. At the meeting the 2026-2027 Budget will be presented and 3 new board members will be nominated. If you would like to serve on the DCS School Board please contact a current school board member or Mr. Jared Peters. Current school board members are Sarah BaanHofman, Joel Muckey, Ian Kuipers, Traci Niewenhuis, Michael Buitenbos, Dillon Munneke, Rich Van Zuidam, Corey Vander Pol, and Randy Veurink.
• The DCS Promotion Committee is looking for a few extra folks that love DC and want to help promote our school. Do you like technology and social media, are you creative and witty, etc.? Contact Sarah BH if you are gifted in these areas and are willing to help!
• Have you ever been told you are dramatic? We are looking for someone to direct the spring play! Let us know if you feel called to help with this.
• The lost and found is growing exponentially! If you are bringing kids to school or picking kids up from school, stop in and see if any of the items look familiar.
