•    Random Fact of the Day:  The ice isn’t the only thing that’s frozen during NHL and AHL games.  Pucks are kept frozen before games to keep them from bouncing.

For 7th-12th Grade Students:

•    7th-12th track practice this week:
Wednesday, April 24 –practice in LA, Samantha Cole drives
Thursday, April 25 – practice at DC until 4:45ish due to concert
Friday, April 26 – practice at LA, need a second driver

•    You are responsible for cleaning your locker inside and out before you can take exams. So start bringing all your extra stuff home and remove all tape etc. from both inside and outside of your locker. If any food/drink has spilled you will need to get a bucket of hot soapy water to wash it.  When you feel your locker is squeaky clean and ready for inspection, have your class advisor approve it.

•    Speaking of lockers the locker rooms need to be cleaned out as well. Please remove all of your belongings by the end of the school year.

•    Grades 5-8 Students Please bring a shoe box or small box so you can take your art home after the art show on Thursday evening. Put you name on the box. Thanks! Mrs. Van Dusseldorp 

•    Driver’s Ed Classes will begin in May. There is a sign-up sheet in the office for students wishing to take it. Students can stop in and sign up.
***Driver’s Ed sign up is now open to 7th grade students with summer birthdays (must turn 14 before Sept. 1) or 8th graders (must be 14 years old by July 1)
***Cost:  $240 
***Pick up a course schedule when you sign up.
***This year the class size will be limited to 35 students.
There has been a change to the drivers ed class schedule. New schedules are available in the office.

•    Any 8th-11th grader interested in student council next year, bring your lunch to Mrs. Masur's room for a short meeting. If you want to be on student council next year but can't come to the meeting, let Mrs. Masur know.

For Preschool-6th Grade Students:

•    Lunch Times:  11:40 a.m. – preschool; 11:45 a.m. – kindergarten;  11:50 a.m. – 1st/2nd grades; 11:55 p.m. – 3rd/4th grades; 12:00 p.m. – 5th/6th grades

Parents/Readers on the Web:

•    Annual Society Meeting will be held Monday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the DCS gym.

•    One more food truck delivery: Thursday, May 9 (call/text Harriett by Monday May 6th). Fill your summertime freezer / share with a friend.

•    Looking for helpers for the AC/DC track meet held in Lake this Saturday! If you are willing to help at the track meet let Mr. Kroese or the office know.

•    Remember to invite your family and friends to the spring concert and art show on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

•    URGENT! If you are willing to serve the coffee and goodies at the Spring Concert and Art Show Thursday, please let the office know. (Goodies will be provided.)

•    Fellowship is once again selling Ymker Greenhouse gift certificates. They come in increments of $30 ($7.50 comes back to DCS!!) and can be used in Platte or Armour locations through June 1. Certificates are immediately available and can be picked up at the school office, in Platte, or brought to Corsica. Contact the school (605-243-2211), Corinne Middendorp at (6005-680-4087), or Tracy Maas (605-680-4511) to get yours today!

•    Anyone who has helped with driving school vehicles, please check your pockets, purses, etc. We are missing some keys. Thank you!
