• Archery practice this week will be:
Friday, Jan. 23, with the 3rd-6th grades practicing from 7:00-8:00 p.m., and the 7th-12th grades practicing from 8:00-9:00 p.m. both days.
• Congratulations to Danae for being selected for Junior Honor Choir for the third year in a row! It's a very difficult choir to be selected for, so it is a huge honor that she was selected all three years. She will be honored on stage at the concert in Rapid City this Saturday. The concert will be at 2 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center.

• Mrs. Engels will be gone this Friday. HS students with lessons preparing for contest should come TODAY instead.
• Junior High Boys Basketball Schedule Changes:
NO junior high boys’ basketball game (Burke) this Friday (1/23).
The Burke game has been moved to Tuesday, Feb 3, 4:00 p.m. (2 or 3 games in the main gym)
The Wagner game has been moved to Feb. 5, 4:00 p.m. at the Wagner Armory

Parents/Readers on the Web:
• Parents of senior athletes in winter athletics – tomorrow (Thursday) we will honor seniors and their parents at the double header in Andes Central.
• The high school students are selling World's Finest Chocolate in February for a mission trip but you have the opportunity to buy full cases of your favorite bar right now! Order forms went home with students last Friday offering cases of 40 bars for $80. These must be pre-ordered by Monday, Jan. 26. Orders can be sent in on the forms or sent/called in to Mrs. Zomer, Mrs. Masur or the office
• The annual Society Meeting has been set for Monday, March 30. At the meeting the 2026-2027 Budget will be presented and 3 new board members will be nominated. If you would like to serve on the DCS School Board please contact a current school board member or Mr. Jared Peters. Current school board members are Sarah BaanHofman, Joel Muckey, Ian Kuipers, Traci Niewenhuis, Michael Buitenbos, Dillon Munneke, Rich Van Zuidam, Corey Vander Pol, and Randy Veurink.
• The lost and found is growing exponentially! If you are bringing kids to school or picking kids up from school, stop in and see if any of the items look familiar.
• Tomorrow (Thursday, Jan. 22) The AC/DC Thunder basketball teams will be at home (Andes Central) against the Avon Pirates. Game times will be:
4:00 – JH boys in the auxiliary gym
4:15 – JV girls in the main gym
5:15 – JV boys in the main gym
6:30 – Varsity girls in the main gym
Followed by Varsity boys in the main gym.
